Our client, a dynamic scale-up focused on securing the financial systems that serve millions, is looking for a Senior Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst. In this pivotal role, you will unlock the potential of data to enhance strategic decision-making. By collaborating closely with the Operations team, you’ll convert their data requirements into powerful reports and dashboards, providing actionable insights that drive business growth.

Main Responsibilities

  • Collect and examine data from multiple sources, such as databases, data warehouses, and external systems, to detect trends, patterns, and insights. This involves using SQL in Snowflake, as well as conducting quick analyses with spreadsheets
  • Create and design reports, dashboards, and data visualizations to clearly and effectively present findings using Looker or spreadsheets
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and turn them into actionable insights, reports, or dashboards
  • Partner with the data team to ensure that reports used by the Operations team are accurate, consistent, and reliable
  • Work with cross-functional teams to identify data-driven opportunities for improving processes, increasing efficiency, and reducing costs
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest industry trends, best practices, and new technologies in business intelligence and analytics
  • Provide training and support to users on Looker and how to interpret data effectively

Core Skills/experience

  • +3 years of experience in a similar role
  • Expertise in SQL, data visualization tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI), and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical skills to gather, structure, interpret, and analyze large datasets
  • Experience with data modelling, data warehousing and ETL processes
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of conveying complex ideas and concepts to a variety of audiences
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • Proactivity and self-driven mindset
  • Understanding statistical analysis techniques and predictive modelling is a plus
  • Certification in business intelligence or data analysis is preferred
